Cut
The cut of a diamond has two meanings. Firstly it refers to the shape of the diamond, this is explained in detail in our
shape section. The second meaning is in reference to one of the four C's which refers to the quality of the diamonds
proportions,
polish, and
symmetry. Should all of these criteria be of a high standard than the diamond is considered to be "well cut". Please see our
cut section in diamond advise for a more detailed explanation. Sometimes the word "make" is used in reference to cut.
