Fire
Fire is the separation of white light into it's spectral colours. When this occurs the eye will see flashes of spectral colours within the diamond.Traditionally the older diamond cutting styles dating back to the mid 19th century create diamonds with more fire. This occurs for several reason, including a small table facet and a high crown. The more modern diamond cuts create more white light than fire.
